Fate vs. Faith

Is there such thing as a destiny? Is this concept that many call “fate” truly written in the stars and if so can we do anything about it? These types of questions have historically boggled the minds of even the most intellectual. We cannot debate such a sensitive topic that has so many variations of perspectives and opposing viewpoints. In all actuality, when anybody asks you a yes or no question the answer is usually all of the above. How is this so? We live in a dualistic reality that simultaneously reflects negative and positive attributes to every situation and living organism that exists. It’s kind of like the yin and yang thing; there’s no way to get around it because both sides feed off each other. This is why it is entirely up to the individual whether he or she chooses to focus on the good or bad in life. It’s not a matter of yes or no or right and wrong; it’s just a matter of preference. Therefore, fate surely does exist; but can be rewritten through faith.

What does it mean when we say something like life can be “rewritten?” In order to understand this, one must first realize where the concept of fate comes from. This idea of destiny stems from the zodiac. It is these houses of zodiac and birth charts that dictate our spiritual “sign” in life and is a reflection of our personality. This is common knowledge. However, what is not so common is that each person has a birth template that, with intense analysis, could illustrate an individual’s choices from start to finish. Remember, all of this information is literally “written in the stars” which is why for centuries it hasn’t been too difficult to figure out. Aspiring astrologists would simply calculate your time and date of birth, correspond it with the planetary and constellational patterns and follow its path marking all of the future milestones/decisions in your life. Many people merely think of zodiac as a way to manage relationships; however it is much deeper than that. It is an astrological grid providing a template that many interpret as fate.

This is where it gets tricky. If this theory is true, than life is nothing more than choices. Many people choose to fulfill the expectations of their zodiac sign. At a young age, they were told they belong to this house with specific personality traits. They accept this and dare not impose on its strict guidelines. They usually, unknowingly, carry out the duties of their zodiac and make the designated choices according to their detailed birth chart. However, what if an individual decided to step out this paradigm and connect to something bigger? There is nothing holding you back from creating a better future other than your beliefs. If you don’t want your life to be determined by a star template, than you have to modify it yourself. This involves intense reprogramming where “stepping out of the comfort zone” would seem like an understatement. Thus, if you want more out of life, align with it! Do not limit yourself. It’s entirely up to you on where you would like to go and how you want to get there. A new path hangs in the balance of your predetermined fate. The question is: what are you going to do about it?
